Teacher Interaction Process

ABCmouse Regular Program Standard Interaction Process






Step 1: Achievement Announcement and Presentation (3 minutes)

Step 2: Group Activities (25 minutes)

 

1.Care and Warm-up Session (5 minutes)

(1) Warm-up Interaction (1 minute)

Step 1-1: Simple English conversation

Step 1-2: Rhythmic activities using songs or poems learned from ABCmouse

 

(2) Spoken  Material Learning (2 minutes)

Method 1: First-time exposure, guide students to repeat core words or sentences

Method 2: Simple spoken interaction between teachers and students based on the theme

Method 3: Expand practice by applying sentence patterns with props, TPR, etc., and engage in teacher-student spoken interaction

Method 4: After becoming proficient, conduct student-to-student spoken interaction

 

(3) Review Session (2 minutes)

Method 1: Demonstration of material learned by students

Method 2: Group repetition (vocabulary, sentences, stories, books, etc.)

Method 3: Offline game to review learned concepts

Method 4: Performances (songs, rhythms, storybooks, etc.)

 

2.Student Presentation Session (10 minutes)

(1) students Demonstrate how to learn the new learning activities (5-8 minutes)

①Students should read aloud while operating the material

②Teachers should observe if students are operating the material correctly and correct them promptly

③While students operate the material, teachers should guide others to read aloud and follow along with pronunciation and rhythms

④If students are not proficient with material operation, teachers can provide assistance and guide them through the steps

⑤Throughout the teaching process, avoid 'teacher-led reading' and encourage students to listen and repeat using the platform's pronunciation.

 

(2) Students Present the learning activities (2-5 minutes)

①Students should present the content after completing some activities learning

②For other students, teachers can interact with the group as a whole and individually to showcase the learning content

 

3.Consolidation and Extension Session (7 minutes)

(1) Communication and Interaction (3 minutes)

①Teachers engage in teacher-student spoken interaction with students based on the learning content

②Teachers guide students to engage in student-to-student spoken interaction based on the learning content

③Teachers use material content to prompt students to speak based on images

 

(2) Application and Extension (4 minutes)

①Teachers guide students to apply and extend words, sentence patterns, etc., based on the learning  content

②Conduct application and extension exercises through online and offline interactive games

 

4.Summary and Review Session (3 minutes)

Step 6-1:Simple review of all the content learned in the class

Step 6-2:Choose one knowledge point and guide students to speak based on images (teacher-student and student-student interaction are both possible)

Step 6-3:Lead students to count the  reward tickets

Step 6-4:Summarize students' performance, provide encouragement and expectations

Step 3: Assignment of Family learning Activities (2 minutes)

(1) Reminder of Family learning Activities (in class)

(2) Assignment of family game activities (after class)
